Ken grew up gardening with his father and brother working residential properties along the Santa Monica mountain range from Malibu to Beverly Hills. In 1994, Ken acquired his C-27 state contractor’s license and joined the California Landscape Contractor’s Association where he and his team earned industry beautification awards for eight consecutive years for Landscape Maintenance, Installation and Lighting awards.
In 2005, Ken became a principle in the established firm of Groundworks Landscape, Inc. as Vice President of Operations and runs the day to day functions of the company. The company motto is “Continuing the Japanese-American Tradition” of providing reliable, trustworthy services while creating beautiful gardens.
