Tools to Build Business Success
Most people have a business plan or a set of goals to help them focus on building business. But what about a visualization board?
A visualization board is quite simply a bulletin board with cut out pictures of what you want in your life. Some examples might be pictures of people shaking hands, to give you the feel of closing a deal for your business, or pictures of a new desk with a new computer, pictures of piles of money, or checks written out to you. The purpose of the visualization board is to give you the feelings of success.
Pictures stimulate the right side of your brain. The right side sees color, hears music, good with spoken language, and is in the present moment. When people say, “Oh, isn’t that a beautiful view?” That is a right-brained person talking.
The left side of the brain is good with numbers, written language, sees things in a linear and orderly fashion. Left-brain thinkers tend to be slightly critical as they compare what is happening now to the past and worry about the future. They struggle being in the present moment.
To use both sides of your brain to its fullest would be like thinking in stereo. Some of the most famous ‘stereo’ brain thinkers are; Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, and Picasso.
A business plan will help you with your left side thinking, and the visualization boards will help you with the right side.
Both are needed, both are valuable.
