Ken Nagao (Asahi Gardens) presented examples of bad landscaping (including improper tree care, poor watering and fertilizing) and what he does differently. He also warned about the neighborhood scam involving a truck full of fertilizer bags which seems cheap but in reality is very expensive.
Bernhard Hoehle (Goosehead Insurance) presented numerous insurance tips. Of particular note was a series of tips for landlords: Hire licensed contractors, procure Landlord’s Insurance and require tenants to have Renter’s Insurance. He also spelled out coverages and limitations in case of flood, water backup, and water intrusion.
